PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To avoid the case that an electronic component mounting apparatus starts operating although an operator does not intend when the operator presses a start button by mistake. SOLUTION: When the operator presses the start button 53 and a CPU 16 determines that a start condition is established, the CPU 16 operates and the start button 53 blinks with an illumination pattern (state) different from those of other buttons (step 3). When the operator further presses the start button 53 afterward, the start button 53 changes from the blinking state to an illumination state with an illumination signal that the CPU 16 outputs, and the electronic component mounting apparatus 1 starts operating.
