<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To achieve corrosion prevention in a copper tube for ice making including a specific corrosion factor by adapting a cathodic protection method and secure durability of the copper tube for ice making. <P>SOLUTION: This corrosion prevention structure is provided with a potential holding means X for holding the self-potential of the copper tube 3 for ice making immersed and arranged in water W within an ice thermal storage tank 1 to less than 150 mV on the basis of the demarcation potential of generation of pitting corrosion, that is, a silver/silver chloride electrode immersed in a saturated potassium chloride solution. In this configuration, since the self-potential of the copper tube 3 is suppressed to be less than the demarcation potential of generation of pitting corrosion all the time, generation of pitting corrosion on the surface of the copper tube 3 is minimized. As a result, this secures the durability of the copper tube 3, and the durability and reliability of the ice thermal storage tank 1 including the copper tube 3. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
