<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problem that, in the conventional plating weight measuring device, since there is a need of displacing a plating weight measure head after the position of the edge part in a metal plate is detected, time required for measurement is made long, and the regulation precision of plating weight is low. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the plating weight measuring device, the first and second opposed detection sensors 3A, 3B are arranged so as to be separated from each other in the width direction 1W of the metal plate 1, and, regarding the width direction of the metal plate 1, a plating weight gauge head 4 is arranged between the first opposed detection sensor 3A and the second opposed detection sensor 3B.
