PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To regulate the thermal output of a nuclear reactor by controlling a revolution speed of a recirculation pump in accordance with the operation status of various kinds of equipment in a nuclear power generation system. SOLUTION: The nuclear power generation system includes at least one recirculation pump 16 for circulating coolant to a core 12 of the nuclear reactor 11. A reactor recirculation flow rate controller 23, where the revolution speed of the recirculation pump 16 in runback is designated as the set revolution speed for each of various kinds of equipment pertaining to the nuclear reactor, reads out the set revolution speed of the equipment responding to a runback signal when the controller 23 receives the runback signal in accordance with the operation status of various kinds of equipment pertaining to the nuclear reactor, and controls the operation of the recirculation pump 16 in accordance with the set revolution speed.
