An aqueous surface-treating agent which comprises an aqueous emulsion of a silicone oil, an aqueous emulsion of a polyurethane resin, and a silane compound represented by the general formula (A), (B) CH=C(CH)COO(CH)Si(OR)R, (C) CH=CHCOO(CH)Si(OR)R, (D) HN(CH)Si(OR)R, or (E) HNCHNH(CH)Si (OR)R(wherein Rand Reach is Calkyl; and n and m satisfy 1<n<3 and m=3-n) and/or a partial hydrolyzate of the silane compound, wherein the polyurethane resin is used in an amount of 100 parts by weight or larger on a solid basis per 100 parts by weight of the nonvolatile matter of the silicone oil. This aqueous surface-treating agent prevents a sealing material made of rubber, such as an O-ring, from sticking to another sealing material or to a metal, resin, etc. It further attains a reduction in friction in the sliding of a sealing member made of rubber or resin. |
