<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique of quickly and easily estimating the conspicuousness of a pore and a technique of selecting a cosmetic using the estimated conspicuousness of the pore. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In the method of determining the conspicuousness of the pore, the conspicuousness of the pore is estimated with daylight hours as an index, the method of estimation is expressed by the regression equation of the daylight hours, the conspicuousness of the pore is estimated according to ages, and the conspicuousness of the pore is estimated with (the daylight hours of) a resident area as an index, or the like.
