PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid crystal display capable of suppressing damage of a leg related to fixation of a supporting member and leakage of light by preventing erroneous attachment when attaching the supporting member to a frame member. SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a liquid crystal display panel; a light source for illuminating the liquid crystal display panel and an optical member arranged between the liquid crystal display panel and the light source and uniformizing illuminating light from the light source; the frame member for housing the light source; and the supporting member attached to the frame member and holding or positioning the light source or the optical member, wherein the supporting member (body part 2) includes a plurality of L-shaped legs 6 each inserted in an aperture of the frame member, and moving the supporting member along a surface of the frame member where the aperture is formed, thereby fixing the supporting member to the frame member. The shape of a plane of the supporting member parallel with the surface of the frame member is asymmetric shape relative to a center line C perpendicular to the moving direction of the supporting member.
