Fine iron-based metallic foreign matter coming in a production step causes an internal short circuit to reduce the reliability of the lithium secondary battery. Fine iron-based metallic foreign matter which has come into an electrode film slurry is removed in a die head part.  Since fine iron-based metallic foreign matter which has come into the electrode film slurry for a lithium battery can be thus removed, a highly reliable lithium battery free from an internal short-circuit failure can be provided.
