<p>The invention relates to a rotary knob for a motor vehicle, comprising: a fixed first part (3) of hollow shape configured to be mounted on the steering column (5) of the vehicle; a coaxial moving second part (7) housed in said fixed first part (3), and configured to rotate as one with the steering wheel of the motor vehicle; a bundle of electrical wires (17) connected, on the one hand, to a first connector (21) mounted on said moving second part and configured to be connected also to a mating second connector of the steering wheel; and a member (23) for temporarily preventing said knob (1) from rotating in a neutral position and designed to be removed once said knob (1) is mounted on the steering column (5) so as to free said knob (1) and allow it to turn. According to the invention, said immobilizing member (23) comprises an arm (25) for retaining the bundle of electrical wires (17) that allows the bundle of electrical wires (17) to be held in the neutral position and allows the bundle of electrical wires (17) to be released when said immobilizing member (23) is removed so that the bundle of electrical wires (17) can be connected to said mating second connector.</p> |
