PURPOSE: A composition of medium for culturing mammal initial embryo is provided to stably develop initial embryo and to apply to clinic. CONSTITUTION: A medium for culturing in vivo mammal initial embryo contains 0.1-10 ug/ml of secretory leukocyte protease inhibitor(SLPI). The SLPI is a recombinant protein of human SLPI. The culture medium is used in development stage including 2-cell stage, 4-cell stage, morula stage, and blastocyst stage. In a method for in vivo culturing mammal initial embryo, the culture medium is used for developing mammal initial embryo.
