<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a high-quality image development device and an image forming apparatus causing no reduction in density in high-speed development or no occurrence of development hysteresis (ghost) by accelerating collection of development residual toner on a toner carrier in a hybrid development mode using a plurality of toner carriers. <P>SOLUTION: The development device is constructed so that counter charge generated in a developer by supply of toner to a first toner carrier upstream of the rotation direction of a developer carrier is not completely decreased but remains in the developer until the developer moves to a downstream second toner carrier. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
