<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce a disadvantageous action of critical notch stress which might occur because of material air holes on a surface area of a spring steel or a spring element. <P>SOLUTION: A spring wire 1 extends along an axial line L in the longitudinal direction. A cross-sectional coordinate is indicated by X (depth from the surface) and Y (radius over the depth). The spring wire 1 has a surface layer 2 and a core area 3, and the surface layer 2 is formed with a surface 4 of the spring wire 1 on the outside. The spring wire 1 has slighter hardness than hardness of the core area 3 in an area of the surface layer 2. The softened surface layer 2 is arranged over the whole circumference around the longitudinal axial line L, as seen in the cross section. However, as the softened surface layer 2 can be simply and partially provided, the surface layer 2 can be simply and partially provided over the circumferential surface, and/or can be simply and partially extended over the length. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
