<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a communication system, network management device, network node, communication system control method, and program capable of appropriate path computation when determining a backup resource for a communication line having lost redundancy due to a malfunction. <P>SOLUTION: The communication system for setting a backup resource for a communication line having lost redundancy due to a malfunction has a network management device. The network management device specifies a malfunction place based on a malfunction notification signal transmitted from a node that has detected a network malfunction; sets a given node on a path of the currently used communication line as an endpoint candidate according to the malfunction place; and decides the backup resource based on the results of the path calculation performed based on the endpoint candidate. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT</p> |
