<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a throttle valve diagnostic device capable of accurately estimating throttle valve opening even in an opening and closing transient state of a throttle valve. Ž<P>SOLUTION: In a data cluster ring part 12, past data comprising an instruction voltage to a throttle valve and a sensor voltage from an opening sensor are classified into two clusters based on specified two probability distributions. In a separation hyperplane estimation part 14, boundary conditions of an opened state and a closed state of the throttle valve are specified based on the past data. In a system parameter estimation part 16, a relation satisfied between the past data at a prescribed time and the sensor voltage at one step ahead from the prescribed time is specified.
