<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress vibration and noise without almost changing the outer-diameter shape or the weight of a stator core. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A stator core 1 is configured by laminating electromagnetic steel plates and fastened by presser plates 3, 3 provided on both axial sides. A ring 4 is mounted on the outer periphery of the stator core 1 so as to enhance rigidity of the stator core 1. By this, it is possible to suppress a radial deformation mode due to electromagnetic force acting on the stator core 1, thereby reducing the occurrence of vibration and noise.
