The method involves determining a correction value for a partial injection into an individual cylinder of an internal-combustion engine by stimulation of two injecting samples. A physical variable determined from a speed signal of the internal-combustion engine is provided for combustion characteristics. Values are determined from the speed signal of the internal-combustion engine for physical energy and/or work converted during a single injection and multiple injections that comprise the partial injection. Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) a device for calibrating an injection amount of a partial injection in an injection system of an internal-combustion engine (2) a computer program comprising a set of instructions for performing a method for calibrating an injection amount of a partial injection in an injection system of an internal-combustion engine.
