The present invention discloses a communication method, a relay station and a communication system. The method includes using the first frame position of the first frame structure to communicate with the base station; using the second frame position of a second frame structure which is different from the first frame structure to communicate with the terminal which is served by the relay station. As the base station and the relay station use different frame structures, the embodiment of the present invention avoids the problem of the greater impact on the hybrid automatic repeat request (HARQ) process caused by use of the same frame structure, and can improve performance and increase resource utilization rates.
