<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing an anti-influenza virus composition which is daily orally available and is excellent in safety. <P>SOLUTION: A supernatant obtained by grating the edible part of Chinese yam (Dioscorea batatas) and then centrifuging the same at a speed of 10,000 rpm or less for not longer than 1 hour is an orally available anti-influenza virus composition. The viscosity of this composition can be lowered by ultrasonically-treating the same under appropriate conditions.
