<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an imaging apparatus capable of preventing an operation unintended by a user. <P>SOLUTION: The imaging apparatus 1 has a control portion 10 and a card reader 11. The card reader 11 reads information from an IC card 2. The control portion 10 obtains information read by the card reader 11, and restricts processing executed by the self-imaging apparatus 1 on the basis of the obtained information.
