<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide electric equipment such as a lighting device for a discharge lamp, realizing such state as an insulting sheet is properly placed at a base cover. <P>SOLUTION: The electric equipment includes a base case 2 consisting of a bottom surface 2a, and a pair of side walls 2b configured to be a gutter, with a first engagement part and restraining part formed at the side wall 2b, cover case 5 which includes a pair of side plates 5c and 5c so formed as to overlap with the base case 2, with a second engagement part for engaging with the first engagement part of the side wall 2b being formed, an insulating sheet 3 which has such shape as follows the inside surface of the cover case 5, to overlap with the base case 2 inside the cover case 5, and a circuit board 6 where electric components are mounted.
