<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a motion detection device that facilitates detecting motion of a movable part by a simple configuration. <P>SOLUTION: In this motion detection device 1, a sensor abutting point 133 of a moving amount detection sensor 11 and a third wire fixing member 19 are arranged across metacarpophalangeal articulations J1, a proximal interphalangeal joint J3, and a distal interphalangeal joint J5. Hereby, a finger motion can be detected as a moving amount of a wire 13, so that the finger motion can be detected by the simple configuration. Further, the moving amount detection sensor 11, a first wire route fixing member 15, a second wire route fixing member 17, and the third wire fixing member 19 are arranged on the back side of the hand. By arranging the moving amount detection sensor 11, the first wire route fixing member 15, the second wire route fixing member 17, and the third wire fixing member 19 in a direction different from a movable direction of the finger in this way, the moving amount of the wire 13 can be amplified relative to the amount of the finger motion.
