PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus and a program by which an image quality priority mode selected once and a speed priority mode can suitably be switched. SOLUTION: The UI of an operating section 13 has a user select whether to execute an image quality adjusting processing when the speed priority mode is selected (S10) and has the user select whether to stop the image adjusting processing when the image quality priority mode is selected (S6). A controller 11 switches the speed priority mode to the image quality priority mode when the execution of the image quality adjusting processing is selected (S11) and switches the image quality priority mode to the speed priority mode when stopping of the image adjusting processing is selected (S7).
