PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a friction ring gear preventing a friction ring from relatively rotating relative to a gear body in the operation. SOLUTION: The friction ring gear 10 is provided with: a gear body 4 for integrally supporting a ring part 2 having a gear tooth at the periphery by a hub 3, and a friction ring 6 internally fitted and installed in an annular groove 5 formed in the inner periphery of the ring part 2 of the gear body 4 in a compressed state, and press-fitted to the annular groove 5 by the restoring force. In the friction ring gear 10, friction is generated between the friction ring 6 and the annular groove 5 for vibration in the axial direction of the gear body 4 so as to enable vibration suppression. A friction ring 6 is prevented from relatively rotating relative to the gear body 4, and one (a projected part 8) of the projected part 8 and recessed part 9 fitted so as to permit displacement in the axial direction is provided in the friction ring 6 side and the other side (the recessed part 9) is provided in the gear body 4 side.
