PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lighting apparatus capable of preventing breakage of a fluorescent tube upon installation work and preventing certainly fall of the fluorescent lamp. SOLUTION: Since a socket 31 is slid down in axial direction of a straight fluorescent tube 21 and is made to contact or separate from lamp pins 23 provided at a base part 22 of the fluorescent tube 21, breakage of the fluorescent tube 21 upon installation and detachment of the fluorescent lamp 20 can be prevented. Further, the base part 22 is arranged at the inner side than the both ends in axial direction of the fluorescent tube 21. Thereby, the whole of the fluorescent tube 21 is exposed to emit light.
