PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method and an apparatus for producing a nanofiber, which laminate a fibrous substance in a crossed orientation and obtain a nanofiber nonwoven fabric having a higher strength. SOLUTION: A raw material F is charged and released in air. A fibrous substance F1 is formed from the released raw material by an electrostatic drawing phenomenon and collected by a collector 10. The collector 10 has a long belt-like sheet-like collection body 8 for piling the fibrous substance on one side, a feed mechanism for sending the collection body in length direction and a plurality of electrodes that each have length directions, set a potential so as to draw the charged fibrous substance near by an electromagnetic force and are arranged at the opposite side of a face on which the fibrous material of the collection body is piled while being opposed to or contacted with the face of the opposite side. In the plurality of the electrodes, at least one pair of the electrodes is mutually inclined at only a fixed angle in the length direction, respectively, and arranged in the length direction of the collection body.
