<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a change of contrast by suppressing a change of thickness of a liquid crystal layer even when pressing a liquid crystal display surface. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The liquid crystal display includes: a substrate having a transparent electrode; a counter substrate having a counter electrode; a polymer-dispersed liquid crystal held between the substrate and the counter substrate; and a spacer for regulating the thickness of the liquid crystal layer. Hemispherical spacers, each of which has height being 10 μm or more and 25 μm or less, are formed on two opposed substrates, and the first spacer provided on the substrate and the second spacer provided on the counter substrate are brought into contact with each other, thereby forming the spacer. By bringing the spacers into contact with each other, the thickness of the liquid crystal layer is set to ≥20 μm 0and ≤50 μm. Ž<P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT Ž
