<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a lens unit capable of achieving reduction in time and cost or the like required for alignment operation of a plurality of lenses held in a lens barrel, and capable of rapidly and reliably fixing the lens in the lens barrel. Ž<P>SOLUTION: A tapered surface 15 is formed on a circumference of a back of a first lens 1, and a tapered surface 52 contacting the tapered surface 15 is formed in a lens holding part 51 of the lens barrel 5. A tapered surface 25 is formed on a circumference of a front of a second lens 2, and a tapered surface 64 contacting the tapered surface 25 is formed on the back of a presser part 62 of a lens presser 6. When assembling the lens unit, the first lens 1, a spacer 7 and the second lens 2 are inserted and fitted in the lens barrel 5, and rotation for screwing the lens presser 6 in the lens barrel 5 is performed, whereby center axes of the first lens 1 and the second lens 2 are aligned with a center axis of the lens barrel 5.
