PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To solve the problems that, when a micro-display is designed by reducing the size of a conventional semiconductor device for a transparent liquid crystal panel, a contact resistance becomes high, as a diameter of a via hole for connecting the semiconductor device to a transparent electrode is reduced, and that, when an intermediate metal layer is provided between the semiconductor device and the transparent electrode in order to reduce the contact resistance, a screen image becomes dark due to a reduced aperture ratio. SOLUTION: The semiconductor device includes a notch section in an intermediate metal layer provided between the semiconductor device and the transparent electrode. By the notch section, an area of a side face of the intermediate metal section is increased, and a contact area with the transparent electrode is made larger than before. Moreover, by utilizing a side section area of the intermediate metal layer, a projection area to a pixel surface can be set small, and an aperture ratio of the pixel can be increased.
