PURPOSE: A spheroidization annealing method for a high carbon steel wire rod is provided to reduce the time for spheroidization annealing through rapid softening of high carbon steel. CONSTITUTION: A spheroidization annealing method for a high carbon steel wire rod comprises the steps of: heating a high carbon steel wire rod with a diameter of 10~13mm to a temperature range of 900~1100°C, maintaining the heated state for 5~10 minutes, cooling the wire rod first to 560~640°C at a cooling rate more than 20°C/sec, maintaining the constant temperature for 1~5 minutes, and air-cooling the wire rod. |
