摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn superconducting wire material of an internal Sn method and a precursor therefor, applicable to an NMR magnet, by effectively improving resistance against bending stress and by exhibiting excellent superconducting characteristics as an Nb<SB>3</SB>Sn superconducting wire material wire of the internal Sn method. SOLUTION: The precursor 13 is constituted by bundling three kinds of wire materials 7, 8 and 9 of the following (a)-(c). (a) A plurality of Nb element wire materials 7 formed by embedding a plurality of Nb or Nb group alloy cores 2 in a Cu or Cu group alloy matrix 4, and being a hexagonal shape in a cross-sectional shape, (b) a plurality of Sn element wire materials 8 formed by embedding a singular Sn or Sn group alloy cores 3 in a Cu or Cu group alloy matrix, and being a hexagonal shape in a cross-sectional shape, and (c) a plurality of reinforcing element wire materials 9 having a thicker diameter than the plurality of Nb or Nb group alloy cores of the (a), and formed by embedding a singular or a plurality of reinforcing metal cores 14 in the Cu or Cu group alloy matrix 4, and being a hexagonal shape in a cross-sectional shape.
