PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a developer quantity regulating blade that achieves more uniform abutment pressure and toner intake than conventional blades and that obtains an image free from nonuniform density, by lengthwise controlling variation in an amount of extruded adhesive, which affects the abutment pressure. SOLUTION: The developer quantity regulating blade is configured such that a blade member abutting on a developer carrier and a support member supporting the blade member are joined together with an adhering member. The developer regulating blade has a recessed space on the adhesive side of the support member end face.
