PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an inkjet printer of high image quality suppressing periodical vibration component and causing no print unevenness, even if encoder cumulative error occurs and the relation of a carriage position to a motor rotational angle varies. SOLUTION: The inkjet recording device includes a carriage position detecting means detecting the carriage position loading a printing head; a carriage drive means driving the carriage; a rotational angle detecting means detecting the rotational angle of the carriage drive means; a displacement amount calculating means calculating the amount of displacement between the signal detected by the carriage position detecting means and the signal detected by the rotational angle detecting means; and a vibration suppressing signal output means outputting the vibration suppressing signal, which is the vibration suppressing signal canceling the periodical vibration corresponding to the carriage, corresponding to the output signal of the carriage position detecting means, the output signal of the rotational angle detecting means and the output signal of the displacement amount calculating means.
