The method involves producing potential difference between two electrodes (1,2), and controlling distance between two electrodes so that material of the work-piece is cleared away by an electro-chemical process. The electrodes are purposefully and temporally contacted around short-circuit to remove deposits (10) existing in work gap (14). Independent claims are also included for the following: (1) an electro-chemical machining for production of an injection opening of a fuel injection nozzle; and (2) a method for working on a work-piece.
