PURPOSE: An adaptive Q point mapping method for measuring receiving signal code power is provided to embody calculation of RSCP(Received Signal Code Power) optimized with a fewer bit, thereby preventing operation of thoughtless handover. CONSTITUTION: The electricity of all signals passing through a pulse shaping filter is measured. An RSSI(Received Signal Strength Indication) is outputted. A location of a use bit is changed as control of a number of saturated bits and removal bits according to the power range proportioning to RSSI measurement value. An RSCP(Received Signal Code Power) is calculated based on application of the optimized Q point mapping value by the changed use bit. The RSCP is reported to the base station. |
