A steam generator (1), comprising a heating gas channel (6) through which a heating medium can flow in an approximately horizontal heating gas direction, is to ensure reliable absorption of the above loads, particularly the added loads caused by the design inside pressure of the heating gases, with minimized expense and in a particularly simple design. For this purpose, according to the invention the heating gas channel (6) is enclosed by a plurality of supporting frames/bandages (14) disposed behind each other as viewed in the heating gas direction (6), wherein at least two of the supporting frames (14) are connected to each other via a plurality of horizontal disks (16).
