PURPOSE: A spindle motor and a disk driving apparatus using the same are provided to increase a fixing strength of a magnetic member by fixing a protrusion of the magnetic member inside a concave part of a base member. CONSTITUTION: A rotating part(4) includes a shaft(41), a hub(42) and a rotor magnet(43). The rotating part rotates around a central axis(A). The shaft is arranged along the central axis. The hub is fixed to the shaft. A stator(32) is attached on a base member(31). A protrusion of a magnetic member(35) is fixed inside a concave part of the base member.
