<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of producing a branched aromatic polycarbonate composition which has improved flowability under high load and a satisfactory hue, and is hence suitable for use in processing by extrusion and injection molding, especially in applications, such as hollow parts and large panels formed by blow molding, which requires high melt strength in a material and excellent shape retention in an extrudate, and sheets formed by profile extrusion. <P>SOLUTION: The method for producing the aromatic polycarbonate composition comprises: adding an acidic compound or its precursor to a specific aromatic polycarbonate in order to deactivate a transesterification catalyst; adding a dye thereto; and then pelletizing it. In the aromatic polycarbonate composition, the dye is at least one selected from a phthalocyanine blue-based dye or an anthraquinone-based dye, the content of the dye is 0.01-100 wt.ppm, and the content of the carbonic diester compound is 200 wt.ppm or less. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
