PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorbent article with an excellent appearance, whose surface sheet in a groove formed between a front center high part and a rear center high part is not easily peeled, and which does not easily give the feeling of incompatibility to a wearer. SOLUTION: A sanitary napkin 1A is provided with a surface sheet 2, a back surface sheet 3 and an absorbent body 4 interposed between both sheets 2 and 3, and is practically vertically long. The absorbent body 4 has a center high part 40 raised on a skin abutting surface side in the width direction center area (CT). The center high part 40 comprises separately provided front center high part 41 and rear center high part 42, and an intermediate groove 62 is extended in a width direction (X direction) and formed between the front center high part 41 and the rear center high part 42. The height or angle of the rear portion 41b of the front center high part 41 in the sanitary napkin 1A is smaller than the height or angle of a center portion 42d of a center part 41d and/or the height or angle of the front portion 42a1 of the rear center high part 42 is formed to be smaller than the height or angle of the center portion 42d.
