PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a braking device capable of improving strength of a belt. SOLUTION: When a kickback brake mechanism is operated, the other end side 513 of the belt 51 follows movement of one end side and moves forward, and an abutting member 7 is abutted to a regulating part 633, and further movement to the forward direction can be prevented. Therefore, a drum can be powerfully wound up by the belt 51, and a saw chain can be surely stopped. At this time, movement of the other end side 513 of the belt 51 is regulated by abutting the abutting member 7 attached to the other end side 513 of the belt 51 to the regulating part 633, and therefore, the other end side 513 of the belt 51 may only have a small hole 516 formed for screw-clamping the abutting member 7 to the other end side 513 of the belt 51. Therefore, formation of an oblong hole on the other end side 513 of the belt 51 can be unnecessary, and thus the strength of the belt 51 can be improved. COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT
