PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a particulate structure/substrate composite member in which an aggregate of fine particles such as nanoparticles constitutes a microstructure such as a three-dimensional projection structure on a substrate, and to provide a method for manufacturing the member without requiring a process of heating at high temperature. SOLUTION: The particulate structure/substrate composite member is manufactured through steps of: preparing a substrate 1 having a smooth surface; forming a particulate layer 4 having fine particles 2 densely arranged along the substrate surface; and changing the particulate layer 4 into a fine particle aggregate layer 6 comprising the fine particles 2 coupled with substitute molecules 4 by coupling the substitute molecules 4 to the fine particles 2, and generating a three-dimensional microstructure 7 in which the fine particle aggregate layer 6 is protruded from the surface in some region by increasing the distance between centers of adjoining fine particles, or generating a microstructure in which the fine particle aggregate layer 6 is omitted in some region of the surface and the substrate 1 is exposed in the omission part 8 by decreasing the distance between centers of adjoining fine particles.
