<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a slot machine which evades restrictions on stop control due to interference of a single symbol pattern and a combination symbol pattern. Ž<P>SOLUTION: The symbol array of a single symbol pattern establishment reporting reel is set so as to stop-display a symbol corresponding to the single symbol pattern no matter which timing during the variable display of the single symbol pattern establishment reporting reel the timing of a stop operation is when indicating the establishment of the single symbol pattern, and is set so as to stop-display a symbol not corresponding to the single but corresponding to the combination symbol pattern no matter which timing during the variable display of the single symbol pattern establishment reporting reel the timing of the stop operation is when indicating the non-establishment of the single symbol pattern.
