PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a spherical crystal porous particle of a polyamide having a melting point of 280°C or higher, and to provide a method for producing the same easily and stably, further to easily provide an optical film, painted film, and ink-printing material having thermal stability and characteristics of high performance when producing a molded article for optical uses by forming film or painting film after mixing and homogenizing a transparent resin material and the particle at 260°C. SOLUTION: The solution describes an almost spherical porous polyamide particle having a spherical crystal structure characterized by a specified particle diameter and a pore size, a narrow particle size distribution, a large specific surface area, and melting point of 280°C, a method for producing the same, and an optical material containing the same and having functions of light scattering or depolarization.
