PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for obtaining a low-arsenic-content refined copper ore in which an arsenic mineral is separated from a copper-containing substance containing arsenic, such as a copper ore or refined copper ore.
SOLUTION: The method includes adding a flotation agent containing an inhibitor, frothing agent, and collector to slurry of a copper-containing substance containing arsenic, and blowing air into the slurry to float a refined copper ore, and thereby separating an arsenic mineral from the copper-containing substance, wherein sodium thiosulfate is used as the inhibitor. The sodium thiosulfate is added in an amount of preferably 10-200 kg in terms of the amount of the pentahydrate per ton of the copper-containing substance to be subjected to the flotation. Oxidation/reduction potential of the slurry during the flotation is preferably -10 to 50 mV, as measured using a silver-silver chloride electrode as a reference electrode.
COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
