<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an absorption inhibitor for purine body to inhibit the absorption of the purine body taken from beverages and foods in everyday meals, taken into a body and absorbed from intestinal tract, having a high effect and capable of being taken without a fear as a health food or supplement. <P>SOLUTION: The absorption inhibitor for purine body is provided by using at least one kind selected from the group consisting of Salacia, tea, barley, cocoa, mulberry leaves, the buds of Aralia elata, Angelica keiskei, Ganoderma lucidum, mushrooms, lactobacillus lotus root, Momordica charantia, apples, shark fin, lactobacillus, rosemary, onions, red wine, olive fruits, grape seeds, soybeans, rhodes hips, amla and grapes as an active ingredient. In the absorption inhibitor for purine body, further, euglena can be blended as the active ingredient.
