<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide Lactobacillus gasseri lactic acid bacteria having IgA activity function and a new enhancing action on intestinal tract immune for use. <P>SOLUTION: FERM P-21399 selected from Lactobacillus gasseri lactic acid bacteria is recognized to have remarkable expression induction of NOD2 of intestinal epithelial intercellular receptor to cause immune response of natural immunity system, chemokine receptor CCR9 specific to lymphocyte exhibiting intestinal tract tropism and MAdCAM1 of adhesion factor in high endothelial venulae of small intestine necessary in migration of lymphocyte to intestinal tract, consequently, the lactic acid bacteria are recognized to have activation of natural immunity system and promotion function of lymphocyte migration to intestinal tract. Induction of NOD2 expression of intestinal epithelial cell, activation of immune response by migration of CCR9-positive lymphocyte to intestinal tract and recovering or enhancing action of intestinal tract immune function by the activation are expected by intake of the lactic acid bacteria.
