<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a video monitoring system which reduces burden of decoding processing in the monitor center side. <P>SOLUTION: The video monitoring system has a camera, and a monitor device to which video data is transferred from the camera. The monitor device has a decoder which decodes video data that is transferred from the camera, and an image recognition unit which selects a decoding means of the decoder based on an image processing result of a camera image recognition unit. Thereby, decoding processing can be selected corresponding to recognition information of the camera side, so that decoding processing is efficiently performed in the video monitoring system. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2010,JPO&INPIT |
