<p><P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a display method, a display and a computer program, capable of saving electric power while restraining an image not enjoyed by a user from being displayed, as to a wall picture function of displaying an image on a display part using a liquid crystal panel or the like, when the user does not look at and listen to a TV program, a DVD content or the like. <P>SOLUTION: A moving image of image quality optimum for the looking and listening, illuminated with high brightness by a backlight 22, is displayed on the display part 20, when the user looks at and listens to the TV program, and a sound is output from a loudspeaker 293 (electric power consumption is high). A stationary image of image quality suitable for the looking and listening in a short distance, illuminated with middle brightness, is displayed on the display part 20, when the user does not look at and listen to the TV program, but exits in the vicinity of the display 2 (electric power consumption is in a middle level).
