PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water quantity measurement system that can be installed in a sewer pipe in a simple manner and that endures long-term use. SOLUTION: The system for measuring the quantity of water flowing in a sewer pipe includes: a radio tag 4 disposed on an inner surface of a sewer pipe 1; and a reader device 5 for performing wireless communication with the radio tag 4 positioned above a water surface 2 in the sewer pipe 1. The radio tag 4 has an antenna having a solid angle with respect to the propagation direction of radio waves emitted by the reader device 5. Furthermore, a protective layer for covering the radio tag 4 is provided on the inner surface of the sewer pipe 1. Thus, the measurement system does not require wiring between the radio tag 4 functioning as a sensor and the reader device 5, and can be easily installed.
