PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for controlling the charging of a secondary battery, which can reliably charge the secondary battery up to a necessary charged capacity in a short time while securing safety, even when the temperature of the battery becomes higher than a normal temperature range. SOLUTION: When the temperature of the secondary battery is lower than a pre set temperature threshold value, the output voltage from the charger is limited to the charging voltage allowed to the secondary battery to charge the secondary battery while checking the full charging of the secondary battery. When the temperature of the secondary battery is higher than the temperature threshold value, the output voltage from the charger is limited to the voltage lower than the charging voltage allowed to the secondary battery to charge the secondary battery, without checking the full charging of the secondary battery.
