PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power tool, especially the power tool for preventing over-current and over-discharge of battery pack. SOLUTION: The power tool 1 includes: a battery 510; a motor 2; a trigger switch 31; an FET410 connected to the trigger switch 31 in series; an over current detector part 533 which turns off the FET410 when detecting a current more than a predetermined current in the battery 510 during the trigger switch 31 turned on; and a main current switch-off holding circuit 42 for holding the FET410 off state until the trigger switch 31 is turned off.
